QA Inspector

The Site Quality Assurance Inspector role primary responsibilities are to provide support to the Jonesboro Plant in the Quality Assurance Area. This includes Incoming Inspection for packaging components for all the functional, manufacturability criteria and releasing if they meet with specification and Unilever standards. This position will interface with the Production personnel, Planning personnel, Warehouse personnel to ensure that products and processes meet Unilever standards and drives to ensure product consumer safety & overall quality.The key responsibility of this position includes incoming inspection and release for packaging components. Reports to the Quality Supervisor- Packaging & Innovations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs visual & measuring inspections and release for all packaging component materials meeting the Unilever specifications or standards.
Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams or technical manuals and confers to determine quality and reliability of standards for packaging components.
Follow standard operating procedures and technical standards for the testing of packaging components & following AQL (Acceptance Quality Level).
Monitoring, Requesting and maintaining up-to-date reference standards or color standards for packaging materials.
Ensures that all measuring equipment and devices are periodically checked, calibrated, clearly labeled and maintained in good working condition.
Communicate with Packaging engineers, Brand team, procurement analysts, artwork excellence team & different supplier personnel as needed.
Decision making skills on day to day basis to assure that quality of the products is not compromised at any time.
Investigating and handling OTC and Non-OTC out of specification packaging components found on the production line or during the incoming inspection.
Notify supplier related concerns filling SNCR (Supplier Non-Conformance Report) in SAP-QM and sending quality alerts to the suppliers which doesn’t meet Unilever standards and are not feasible for production.
Utilize the supporting software programs to Maintain, Record, and Control testing packaging components (SAP-QM and Interspec).
Run various reports in SAP-QM to know the losses or supplier related quality concerns (SNCR report), Inventory blocked or monitoring expiring materials in timely manner.
Key Requirements:
5 years of manufacturing experience related to Packaging Components
QA exposure in plant environment
Strong Analytic & technical thought process
Excellent oral, written communication and effective interpersonal skills, able to communicate to different teams, decision making skills & able to work in a fast-paced environment
Flexible to work overtime & weekends as needed depending on the business needs.
