Engineer. The Quality Engineer will be based at our Searcy, AR
The primary function of this role is to
provide Quality Engineering expertise and assist our customers in support of
existing and developing programs. Qualified candidates should possess strong
customer interface skills with the ability to establish and maintain successful
customer relationships. This position is responsible for providing quality
assurance support to the manufacturing cells, customers and participates in
continuous improvement activities.
the development, implementation and improvement of the quality management
and lead local organizations in the adoption and use of Six Sigma Methods and
Practices acting as a “change agent” within the organization.
train and lead Root Cause Analysis Teams in the area of inspection reject and
warranty reduction to meet plant DPPM goals.
within Eaton and other companies on best practices.
as contributing member on various plant improvement teams.
advanced product quality planning (APQP/PPAP) activities regarding new/revised
and manage reviews and revisions to production failure mode effects analysis
(FMEA) and control plans
quality internal audit teams.
in cost out activity to aid in meeting departmental and plant goals for
customer returns, warranty, scrap, first pass yield and cost reduction.
and eliminates causes of quality problems and follows up on corrective actions
communications and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.

- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited
- Minimum 1 year experience in a
quality role in a manufacturing type environment
- Candidate must be able to work in the U.S without
needing company sponsorship
Manufacturing Statistical Control Methods
Sigma methodology (DMAIC)
Mapping, FMEA, MSA, DOE, Capability Studies, etc. and other analytical
knowledge of Quality Management System (ISO/TS)
of AIG (PPAP/FMEA/Control Plan/APQP etc)
of Lean manufacturing principles
skills such as Minitab, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Ability to lead,
coach, direct and influence individuals to successful conclusion
written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively
present to various hierarchies of the organization
to effectively interact and communicate with customers as a representative
of the organization.
to effectively interact and communicate with shop floor employees.
six-sigma black or green belt preferred
CQE through ASQ, or certified/registered PE through a professional
engineering society preferred
