The Quality Inspector position is designed to be the line of insurance for the company to ensure all parts meet critical quality checks and requirements. Your ability to read and interpret blueprints and part specifications will be critical as you perform incoming part inspections, random assembly inspections and final product audits. It will be your responsibility to accept or remove finished items that do/do not meet strict quality guidelines. All inspection reports and test data will be logged into an ERP system to verify suppliers are able to provide quality parts. New vendors may need to be sourced if they cannot meet requirements.
As the Quality Inspector, your responsibilities will include:
Inspection of product (high-end bicycles) to ensure that all parts and materials are at or above quality standards
Verification of parts versus blueprint specs
Perform incoming, in-process and final inspection
Perform product audits
Accept or reject components
Recommend assembly and production process adjustments to meet quality standards
Report all inspection results into computer system
Set-up suppliers and follow-up on quality issue claims
Associates degree or Technical degree/certification in Quality or related field
Minimum of 2 years' experience working in Quality Control for a manufacturing environment
Strong analytical skills
Ability to read blueprints and specification sheets
Strong communication skills written and verbally
Ability to communicate technical details internally and externally
