Chief Objective of Job :
  • To support production by assuring the quality of the ingredients, mixes, finished products and environment of the plant are sustained
  • Maintain quality records for regulatory and company use
  • Be Consumer and Customer focused

  • Abide by all plant Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) policies and actively participate in safety activities
  • Consistently demonstrate safe work behaviors and actively support company safety goals
  • Support all TPM initiatives and actively participate in all TPM processes and activities
  • Perform all chemical, physical and microbiological tests for ingredient mixes and finished products
  • Knowledgeable of and able to train procedures for all QA programs and systems, including but not limited to:
    1. Incoming ingredients
    2. Rework
    3. Environmental and sanitation
    4. Hold program
    5. SPC program
    6. Mix log program
    7. Customer responses
    8. Cutting
    9. Sampling
    10. Test runs
    11. Good manufacturing practices (GMPs)
    12. HACCP

  • Provide technical support for other departments
  • Monitor product quality and assist in continuous improvement
  • Audit processes and help to identify opportunities for improvements
  • Order and monitor lab supplies
  • Accurately complete required forms/checklists
  • Assist and participate in QA projects and QA team
  • Able to lead and drive completion of Root Cause Analysis
  • Data entry into computers
  • Computer set up and data extrapolation
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned

Part III: Qualifications (Entry-level)

A. Knowledge, skills and abilities:
· Ability to read, write and communicate orally and written · Strong computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Access) · Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to challenge people to do their best
· Sound decision making skills

B. Education:
BS degree or higher
C. Level and type of experience:
Project Management Experience (leading projects)
Production experience or prior lab experience

D. Asset Qualifications:
  • Dairy lab experience
  • SAP system experience

Part IV: Work Environment
  • Varying temperatures (-20 to 110 degrees), occasional wet environment

  • Chemical use and handling

  • Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds; occasional carrying up to 20 pounds

  • Occasional pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds

  • Must be available to work overtime, extended shifts and alternate schedules

  • Required to wear company-furnished safety equipment and uniform
