Quality Technician Opportunity / Fridley, MN Full time / 6 MONTH ASSIGNMENT Location: Fridley, MN Targeted Start Date: ASAP Hourly Compensation: based on experience Summary: Inspect assembled parts or products for defect, wear, and deviations from specifications in 1st shift Operations. Typically has a high school diploma. The technical skills include the knowledge of machines and tools. Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: Discard or reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications. Analyze and interpret blueprints, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment and certification methods, formulas, and measuring instruments required. Read and understand blue prints; must be able to refer to a drawing and assist operators and team lead to identify thee right gauge to use to measure and verify if parts are confirming. Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, and work for conformance to specifications. Record inspection or test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, or moisture content, and quantities inspected or graded. Mark items with details such as grade and acceptance or rejection status. Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers. Analyze test data and make computations as necessary to determine test results. Learn and get to knows the products and assembly processes well Make detailed comparison between products and have an eye to figure out the odd ball while looking at several components and assemblies at a glance Logical in making decisions in sorting stock, sub-assemblies and finis Skills: Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability (Required) Team player and detail oriented (Required) Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods (Typically required) Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance (Required) Education/Experience: Associates degree or equivalent experience/training required 2-4 years experience required Responsibility level: Exercises moderate independent judgment with direction from supervisor If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply online and if you are a fit for the position a recruiter will contact you.
