As our Quality Assurance Technician you'll support Manufacturing and Engineering in an effort to assure the production and shipment of quality products. You will audit processes, perform tests and evaluate raw materials, in-process and finished products to determine material properties, product specification compliance, and manufacturing process performance and assure that good quality products are being produced and shipped to IHM customers. You will support manufacturing in identifying root cause and corrective actions to prevent further production of undesirable product. You will also compile and analyze data to detect trends and identify the need for quality improvement for both manufacturing processes and metrological equipment operation. In addition, you will help create work instructions and visual standards and help provide training to others on work-related tasks.

Requirements:
*High School diploma or GED with 1-2 years' experience or any combination of education and experience in quality assurance
*1-2 years' experience using measurement equipment, generating and organizing quality data for quality decision-making
*Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (lab experience is preferred)
*Able to stand, sit, walk, stoop, crouch, kneel, reach, climb, push, pull, grasp, talk, hear and feel
*Skills in concisely communicating technical data and instructional information both verbally and in writing
*Understanding of weight and measurements
*Able to read precision measuring instruments and add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions and decimals
*Able to judge defects based on experience and retained samples
* Ability to operate hand measurement and laboratory equipment
* Able to perform physical and quality checks requiring sufficient visual acuity to identify quality flaws and distinguish colors on small components.
* Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes
* Able to move throughout the manufacturing area for extended periods of time
* Experience with problem solving, multi-tasking and training others to complete job-related tasks a plus
* Strong math skills, including statistical terms and basic data analysis, preferred
* Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook software packages
* Experience with Infinity QS (a plus)
* Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
