Exelon is looking for a Quality Verification Manager to join one of our Mid-Atlantic locations OR our Northeast locations.

Exelon is looking for a Quality Verification Manager to work out of our corporate Nuclear Headquarters in the Mid-Atlanta or sites in the East and Northeast. 


Provide leadership, supervision, oversight, and technical expertise to the team of professionals conducting Quality Verification (QV) inspections/activities at the nuclear stations. Execute the QV program at the applicable nuclear stations. Approve QV certifications, resolve site technical issues related to QV inspections / inspection plans, monitor inspection staffing, training and certifications, coordinate development of inspection plan changes, and maintain a pool of certified/qualified QV inspectors. Interface with industry peers to recommend inspection plan changes to gain increased efficiency while ensuring continued regulatory compliance. Provide budgetary recommendations for support of supplemental QV inspection personnel to support outage and non-outage workloads.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES (means principal, main, major or most important duties / accountabilities that the employee performs)

1. Responsible and accountable for adequate management and oversight of the QV inspectors and the QV program --30%
2. Provide direct supervision to a team of QV Inspectors, including identification of performance goals, assessment of individual and team performance, assessment of individual competencies and identification of development opportunities. Maintain a qualified staff of QV Inspectors--25%
3. Develop QV inspection techniques/options for improving efficiency, reducing dose, cost. Maintain industry knowledge (OPEX) with regards to QV issues. Track and maintain QV qualifications current. Develop and present initial and continuing training as applicable--10%
4. Determine manpower requirements for future outages and projects with the site QV personnel to support QV activities. Attend outage/project and team meetings as necessary for purpose of planning, support and budget alignment--10%)
5. Interface and collaborate with site and corporate departments to identify and ensure resolution of QV issues. Conduct field walk-downs as necessary with site QV inspectors to ensure inspections can be conducted in a safe and efficient manner--10-%
6. Develop, maintain, revise, and review inspection procedures to facilitate and enhance inspection practices and maintain compliance with codes, standards, regulatory requirements and commitments Performs special assignments as directed--5%.
7. Perform special assignments and support other fleet NOS organization needs as assigned--5%
8. Provides corporate leadership and acts as a corporate representative for QV functions--5%5


--Previous level II or III QC Inspection experience in Mechanical, Electrical/I&C, Civil/Structural, and welding.
--Successful leadership/supervisory assessment
--Demonstrated ability to interface with Senior Management, lead diverse teams and clearly communicate issues

--4-year technical degree
--Level III certification in a Quality Control Discipline
--Previous Supervisory Experience
--Demonstrated project and change management skills
