Job Accountabilities:
  • Support productivity project team by coordinating & conducting experiments, maintaining logs and record books; troubleshooting and resolving problems; and helping with special projects
  • Provide support required throughout project cycle; from bench-top to production scale
  • Coordinate & execute bench-top, pilot plant, shelf life and sensory studies
  • Attend and participating in group and project meetings
  • Maintain ingredient & laboratory supplies by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt
  • Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs
  • Document information by maintaining daily logs and equipment record books
  • Resolve problems by examining and evaluating data; selecting corrective steps
  • Maintain work area by picking-up, cleaning, washing and sterilizing
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications
  • Enhance laboratory and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

Qualifications/Requirements

Education & Experience Requirements:
  • BS in Food Science or related field required
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a lab environment for a food or beverage company
  • Experience in a Fortune 100 company with a large and diverse portfolio of products a plus
  • Global/multi-national experience preferred
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficient in lab environment (e.g. chemistry techniques, use of equipment, lab safety)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products
  • Multi-lingual skills a plus
