Radiation Oncology Therapist, PRN
While all cancers present challenges for patients and medical providers, pancreatic cancer is one of the most difficult to treat. Our Pancreatic Cancer Services are offered as a part of our Center for Diseases of the Liver and Pancreas. As a leader in services offered in Colorado, our center has dedicated physicians and staff committed to comprehensive care and treatment to all pancreatic cancer patients. Our Center provides the most advanced treatments and compassionate care to ensure that all of our patients achieve the best possible outcome.
The Radiation Therapist performs and delivers a physician prescribed radiation therapy treatment on patients, calculates machine settings, simulation, block cutting and assists the physicians with patient care and special procedures. Must know and utilize radiation safety techniques.
1. Varian Clinac IX with OBI, Gating and SRS capability
2. GE RTCT simulator
3. MOSAIQ/IMPAC record and verify information system
Current AART certification or registry eligible
Current BLS certification
Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiation Therapy Technology.
Previous experience in Radiation Oncology is preferred.
Must have strong communication skills in order to communicate with staff, patients and physicians. Must be able to demonstrate strong technical skills needed for daily patient treatments. Must be able to perform simulation procedures, cerrobend block design and daily treatments with minimal supervision.

Minimal supervision: Individual proceeds on his/her own initiative in compliance with policies, procedures and practices prescribed by immediate supervisor.
