Fort Walton Beach Medical Center (FWBMC) is a 257-bed hospital.

It is the only acute care hospital in the Tri-County area that offers open heart surgery, an Advanced Primary Stroke Center accredited by the Joint Commission, an Accredited Chest Pain Center and a Cancer Care Center that is accredited by the Commission on Cancer and an Associate of the University of Alabama (UAB) at Birmingham Health System Cancer Community Network.

POSITION SUMMARY: The radiographer performs technical procedures, applying ionizing radiation for the purpose of detecting pathology. Regulates equipment used to expose the x-ray image as well as process and organize the image in PACS.

EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:
• Associate Degree in Radiology
• ARRT

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
• State of Florida Radiographer License required
• CPR at hire required

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED:
• 1-3 years experience preferred
