  1. Identifies patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons able to understand service requirements.
  2. Performs all necessary and required radiology, CT, fluoroscopic and Bone Density procedures without issue.
  3. Ensures operation of radiology, CT, fluoroscopic and Bone Density equipment by completing daily QC requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; communicating with director concerning any equipment malfunctions, errors or irregularities.
  4. Maintains radiology department inventory supplies (for each appropriate area that tech is in) by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
  5. Complies with and maintains adherence to federal, state, and local legal professional requirements by always staying in compliance with current CEU requirements.
  6. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks.
  7. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  8. Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanations of treatment; answering questions.
  9. Prepares patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient; adjusting immobilization devices; moving equipment into specified position; adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
  10. Works in cooperation with other departments to ensure the best experience possible for the patient with the least amount of delay for the effective delivery of their health care.
  11. Minimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors.
  12. Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  13. Maintains production and quality exams by following established best practice standards and procedures.
  14. Documents patient care services appropriately by charting properly in the patients EHR medical record.

Qualifications:
*If hired as a new graduate, the employee will have 6 months to take and pass the registry after graduation. ACRH will allow the employee 3 attempts to pass the registry. If the employee has not successfully passed the exam after the 3 rd attempt then they will no longer be employed at ACRH.
BLS Certification required
