Job Title: Regional Business Director Northeast, Alpha 1
The Regional Business Director is responsible for meeting or exceeding sales goals on a
quarterly /annual basis. Manages the tactical/operational daily activities of the NE Alpha 1 sales team.
Drives the implementation of team strategies to ensure the attainment of regionally focused objectives
for our Alpha 1 business in the NE region. The candidate will preferably live in the NE region.
Plans, directs, and controls the sales and business activities for the NE region through the translation of strategic plans into sales strategies to drive Glassia brand preference. Recruit and hire top talent for the NE Alpha 1 sales team. The Regional Business Director will also provide leadership and guidance throughout the sales representative's onboarding process. Prepares annual regional forecasts and participates in the determination of market potential and in preparation of sales expense estimates for the region. Plans and manages the sales efforts of the NE region by effectively coaching, providing feedback and developing team members. Contacts major accounts to ensure customer satisfaction within the NE region. Engage and interact with Specialty Pharmacy partners through collaboration with key branch and field sales personnel throughout the NE region. Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program. Works with sales leaders and marketing peers in the development of marketing programs and identification of key opinion leaders. Works closely with customer service, operations, national accounts, market access, patient advocacy, and marketing to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Promotes the Shire Culture through positive ongoing customer relations.
Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, as well as negotiation and presentation skills. Position requires ability to analyze and interpret data for effective sales strategies and good organization/time management skills. Ability to understand and adapt to customer changing needs is essential. Candidate must demonstrate personal accountability for results, business acumen and knowledge of sales processes, as well as strong leadership and decision-making abilities. Travel throughout the NE region is required. Minimum Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years of demonstrated successful relevant healthcare management sales experience. Ideal candidate possesses experience in specialty sales (injectables or infusions) including working with payer, specialty pharmacies, and/or reimbursement situations, and managing a large geography with diverse customer types.
