We're currently seeking a Commercial Real Estate Manager/Real Estate Paralegal. The position will support the Director of Real Estate as well as the Office Services Department.

What you'll do:

  • Manage Real Estate Portfolio of 300+ commercial properties, owned and leased
  • Work with national commercial brokerage firms to handle lease analysis and negotiation of business terms for lease and purchase transactions
  • Draft, redline and prepare lease contracts for execution; Approximately 50%-75% of time will be spent drafting contracts
  • Draft communication/notices to landlords and property managers
  • Request Certificates of Insurance through insurance broker
  • Manage property files and monitor projects to ensure lease extensions are secured prior to expiration of critical dates
  • Maintain intimate knowledge of lease agreements
  • Review and reconcile tenant rent and CAM charges
  • Work closely with Accounts Payable department to set up and maintain monthly recurring lease payment schedule, and request additional payments
  • Resolve any discrepancies in requested payment amounts directly with landlords and property managers
  • Schedule final walk through of properties with landlords and branch representatives to close out properties
  • Research and submit zoning, occupancy, use permit applications
  • Manage all facets of tenant and capital improvement projects
  • Identify and resolve problems while providing exceptional customer service
  • General administrative (reviewing and processing expense reports; meeting planning; travel arrangements; calendar maintenance; receiving, reviewing and processing invoice payments and tracking)
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

 Skills we're seeking:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Commercial Corporate Real Estate
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in commercial real estate and commercial property management in corporate environment
  • Exceptional and effective written and oral communication skills
  • Experience supporting multiple groups or departments
  • Proficient with computer software programs including MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint); intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Strong interpersonal skills and problem solving
  • Skill in effectively compiling, filing, retrieving, maintaining, researching, coordinating and organizing information.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer service experience
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
