Job Description
The Reception Desk is located in a very high level, professional atmosphere and requires an organized individual with a positive, professional disposition to offer support to the sales area with top-notch clients. Candidate should have effective interpersonal communication skills due to frequent client interaction. Candidate should be a polished professional as they are the first "face" of SSgA to our clients. In addition, the candidate should be capable of handling and directing client inquiries in an informed and timely manner. He/she should be inquisitive and able to work well with various departments.
Duties include:
  • Greet clients on a daily basis.
  • Answer telephones professionally and courteously.
  • Take detailed messages and ensure proper delivery.
  • Must become and remain informed of appropriate areas of SSgA and appropriate investment professionals to whom to direct calls.
  • Handle all conference room reservations, security bookings, and greeting of guests for the entire firm.
  • Also, provide backup executive administrative support as needed.

Daily requirements of the position are as follows:
  • Handle all conference room bookings, security maintenance, and greeting of guests.
  • May be asked to perform necessary procedures for expense reimbursements.
  • Arrange and track all business meetings
  • Gain a working understanding of the financial world and what we do at SSgA.
  • Work on various projects for the ICG group.
Systems Supported:
  • Microsoft Office
  • Outlook
  • PowerPoint knowledge is helpful, but not required
  • Education: Undergraduate degree BA/BS
