As Amgen expands globally, this is a key position in implementing the Latin America region's strategic and launch plans. This role will require close collaboration cross-functionally to establish new supply routes, supply sites, distribution models, setting up systems, managing variations, and overall launch coordination.
Among the key areas of focus for this position are:
Lead product launches and life cycle management activities in the region in accordance to the jurisdiction and change control processes.
Serve as key Operations interface in all governance teams and work closely with GOL's (Global Operations Leaders) for the products distributed by the Region.
Generate project charters and ensure project gate reviews in alignment with international commercialization process.
Serve as Regional Operations Lead at PDT (Product Delivery Team); manage and escalate appropriate requests and information to PDT impacting the products distributed by the Region.
Ensure project approaches that are in alignment with overall product strategy and be accountable for meeting the overall strategy.
Chair Launch Teams: monitor the progress of the departmental related projects leading to the successful launch of products in the Region.
Serve as region champion: ensuring supply, meeting milestones and leading new SKU requests.
Ensure launch team members have an in-depth understanding of the business and regional requirements with their roles and responsibilities as team members in the implementation of product strategies.
Ensure regular project status updates both internally and externally.
Use Operational Excellence as an approach to identify improvements in Commercialization process.
Contribute to the development of new techniques and plans within area of expertise.
Work on, and anticipate, abstract and complex problems requiring evaluation of intangible variables
Develop innovative and creative output based on interpretation and analysis (Opportunity / risk analyses; Cost/ Benefit analyses; Pricing models).
Integrate trends, data and information into plans, deliverables and recommendations.
Contribute to the function/ department through responsibility for delivery of end results and contribution to planning for the function/department.
Travel: 30% - 50% domestic and international
Basic Qualifications
Doctorate degree and 2 years of Supply Chain experience OR
Master's degree and 6 years of Supply Chain experience OR
Bachelor's degree and 8 years of Supply Chain experience OR
Associate's degree and 10 years of Supply Chain experience OR
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Supply Chain experience AND 2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in business or related field
Experience in international supply chain/operations
GMP knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical regulations
Operational Support Experience in the following: Planning, Compliance, Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, and/or Clinical Development
Pharmaceutical product commercialization and life cycle management
Ability to recognize strategic implications of complex product development activities and manage them cross-functionally
Understanding of marketing principles and competitor practices
Experience in working in an international environment
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese
