The Regional Sales Manager increases product sales within assigned region in order to achieve company objectives. Develop and retain an effective residential/dealer sales force capable of increasing product sales. Work closely with General Managers, SSC Managers, and Mohawk Hard Surface Management to achieve goals and maximize market penetration and margin potential.

Responsibilities

+ Achieve revenue, budget and other business objectives for each fiscal year.

+ Develop business relationships with key distributors within their region.

+ Clearly define goals and objectives to measure performance and communicate these objectives to distributors on a regular basis.

+ Communicate and work closely with distributors to maximize market penetration and margin potential.

+ Develop and implement strategic plans to accommodate corporate goals.

+ Review market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.

+ Advise distributors regarding business strategies, sales and advertising techniques.

+ Meets with key distributor personnel to negotiate and close deals.

+ Analyses and controls expenditures of region to conform to budgetary requirements.

+ Prepares sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales and areas of proposed product sales expansion.

+ Represent the company at trade meetings to promote company and product.

+ Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

Education & Knowledge

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Extensive working knowledge of residential/dealer sales.

Experience:

+ 5 or more years of related sales management experience.

Competencies:

+ Self-starter, strong communication skills, exercises independent judgement, ability to develop and motivate sales force.
