Adecco Direct Placement is currently recruiting top notch candidates for a Regional Sales Manager Job in Erie, PA for our client, a manufacturer and distributor of comprehensive products used in a variety of industries. This role will provide "hands-on" management and direction to a team of independent manufacturing sales representatives, Territory Sales Representatives and customers within to achieve pre-established sales objectives and margin targets. We seek candidates that offer a professional demeanor, are able to work directly with top clients and can travel at least 50% of the week. Candidates should be able to coach and mentor direct and indirect sales teams. Our client offers a base salary of between $70,000 and $85,000 and an uncapped commission plan. A comprehensive benefits plan is also offered.
Responsibilities for the Regional Sales Manager Job in Erie, PA:
Responsible for ensuring each assigned territory meets strategic and sales targets set by the region and maximize profitability at the account level.
Provide support for the Territory including trips with representatives for training, product support and direction.
Provide outstanding customer support including preparation of proposals, technical support, samples, quotes and complaint resolution.
Conduct proper sales analysis to determine strengths and weaknesses of each territory.
Provide strategic direction and leadership based on sales analysis for each territory.
Project management duties as required for sampling, quoting and new product development.
Quote both custom parts, tooling and parts within acceptable profit margins, evaluate incoming jobs and quote for feasibility
Field commercial and technical questions posed by Representative Groups, customers and internal support functions within the Company.
Develop project plans, coordinate projects, and communicate changes and progress.
Participate in weekly Quality meetings as well as cross functional management meetings.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field
Five to seven years of Sales Management experience in Business to Business Sales, preferably selling to manufacturing
Excellent negotiating skills with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must be able to travel as needed sometimes with little notice; occasional overnights
Must be a positive thinker / a team player.
Must be outgoing and communicate well when meeting new people.
