Eaton's Crouse-Hinds Division is seeking an Regional Sales Manager to support our Airport Lighting Products in the Midwest Territory. We are seeking an individual who is currently residing within 50 miles of a major airport in the Midwest Territory.

We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate the sales of the Central/Midwest region of the Company's total sales to ensure profitability and achieve established goals.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales plans and programs to ensure the profit growth and expansion of Company products and services
  • Recommend pricing strategies for the Company that will result in the greatest share of the market over the long run
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and delivery of price quotations for airport lighting projects in the assigned region
  • Work with the Central District Sales Manager in determining the best channel to market for each major project based on strategic, economic, and customer requirements to assure that a high level of customer satisfaction and financial strength is achieved
  • Promote the value of project business support activities to capitalize on the Company's value-added sales efforts
  • Achieve satisfactory profit/loss ratios and share of market performance in relation to pre-set standards and to general and specific trends within in the industry and economy
  • Work directly with Engineering firms and contractors to build specification base and relationships to enhance future business opportunities
  • Obtain and maintain comprehensive intelligence on project activity in the assigned region through various sources to ensure a high level of awareness of project activity


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • A minimum of 3 years of sales experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship
  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position.  Only candidates residing in the immediate geographical area (50 miles) of a Midwest state (Nebraska to Ohio, Canada to Gulf) will be considered

Position Criteria

  • Excellent project management and problem solving skills
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and practical experience in a manufacturing environment
  • General understanding of internal economic factors (cost, margin, profit impact of decisions) affecting project area

Preferred Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7 years of sales/marketing experience
  • Lighting product and large commercial project sales experience
  • Air Field Lighting experience
  • Managing a large geographical territory
  • Pipeline management and forecasting experience
  • Experience calling on engineering consultants
