Responsible for nutritional management and care of patients according to physician diagnoses. Performs as a member of the multi-disciplinary team. Reviews the interdisciplinary screening process and assigns a priority level of risk for patients.
Knowledge & Skills:
Must be flexible, organized, and able to function effectively under stressful situations. Must be able to demonstrate understanding of national patient safety initiatives by strict compliance to all safety protocols and procedures as required by both HCA and North Austin Medical Center. Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Required: Completion of registration program as approved by the American Dietetic Association
Preferred: Computer skills preferred; Experience in food service or clinical field
Required: Registered Dietitian or eligible with the American Dietetic Association; Must obtain Licensed Dietitian status with the Commission on Dietetic Registration within 90 days of initial employment.
