**Unit Description** **Sodexo has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Dietitian to come join their dynamic team and Clinical Nutrition program at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.** For more than 100 years, Wesley Healthcare has provided exceptional care to thousands of families in Wichita, throughout Kansas, and Northern Oklahoma. Wesley owns and operates Galichia Heart Hospital, WESLEYCare Clinics and the Pediatric Center of Kansas. **Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the selected candidate will:** + Be a Registered Dietitian with at least 1 year of prior acute care experience + Have experience utilizing the nutrition care process, electronic medical records charting and will be responsible for conducting nutrition care and patient assessments for patients with a variety of disease states + Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills. Be able to work well with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff and collaboratively as part of a team, as well as independently and be outcome focused + Have good time management skills, be a self-starter + Have prior experience in an acute care setting (internship may count for experience) Although Wesley Medical Center provides a full range of diagnostic and treatment services, the medical center is especially noted for: + The Children's Center (affiliated with the National Association of Children's Hospitals and Related Institutions) + A Level 1 (highest level) trauma center + State-of-the-art Neonatal Intensive Care and Pediatric Intensive Care units + Cardiovascular services and accredited Chest Pain Center + Stroke treatment and certified Stroke Center + Advanced care for high-risk pregnancies + Cancer care + The area's only hyperbaric oxygen chambers + Outpatient clinics **Position Summary** Responsible for providing direct comprehensive nutrition services Key Duties -Directs nutrition care of special needs population to ensure nutrition needs and customer satisfaction levels are met. -Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction to ensure account retention. -Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Sodexo standards and policy. -Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexho resource when necessary. -Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by keep abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice. -Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments.. **Qualifications & Requirements** Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian Sodexo is an EEO/AA/Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran employer. **System ID** _68378_ **Category** _Nutrition_ **Relocation Type** _No_ **Employment Status** _Full-Time_
