Florida licensed Register Nurse
2-3 years experience in acute care setting
Psychiatric nursing experience required
Associates Degree in Nursing required
Some supervisory experience preferred
The Charge Nurse is responsible for providing proficient, age specific, direct and indirect patient care in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care for all patients on the unit (adult and Geriatric patient populations) in accordance to legal, hospital policy and regulatory requirements. Communicates with unit leadership and physicians regarding changes in the patient's clinical condition including mental status, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Is able to perform general nursing duties as assigned and provides direct supervision to other members of the healthcare team. Participates in peer review reviews, performance evaluations, and disciplinary process as appropriate. Ensures that quality of nursing care is provided to all patients.
