Medical City North Hills is licensed for 164 beds and is fully accredited by the Joint Commission. North Hills also has Disease Specific Certification by the Joint Commission for hip, knee, shoulder and cardiac service lines and we are a designated Level IV trauma center. Our specialty services and honors include being the first hospital in the U.S. to have a Cycle 4 Chest Pain Center and the first in North Texas to attain Cycle 5 accreditation. We have Primary Stroke Center certification by the Joint Commission and also specialize in total joint replacement and cardiac care. North Hills Hospital is a part of HCA .
Position Summary : The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the plan of care for a specific assigned group of patients. The North Hills Hospital staff member can expect to care for adult patients, including the older adult through geriatric, and pediatric patients from newborn through adolescence. The attached criteria based performance evaluation provides a specific set of standards as they relate to age specific competency.
Graduate of an accredited school of professional Nursing BSN Preferred
Minimum of one-year recent clinical experience required.
Current Texas Licensure as a Registered Nurse.
Current in CPR. (ACLS if required by specific area(s) floated
Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize
Possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees.
Knowledgeable of hospital policies and procedures specific to nursing services.
Clinically proficient in nursing skills, demonstrating knowledge of the developmental needs of patients of all age groups.
