Under Tennessee Board of Nursing scope of practice the Registered Nurses (RNs) provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and families about various health conditions, and provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members. RNs must use independent and critical judgment in providing a wide variety of services within a critical care environment. The purpose of the Rapid Response Team (RRT) is to provide assessment, early intervention and stabilization for patients and to prevent clinical deterioration or arrest.
1. RN licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or a Board of Nursing from a compact state.
2. Bachelor's degree is preferred
3. BLS, ACLS required
4. CPI required within 6 months of hire; for employees hired prior to 10/20/2014 CPI required by 12/31/2015.
5. PALS preferred
6. Specialty certification preferred
7. Minimum of two years clinical nursing experience in an ICU or Critical Care setting required.
