POSITION SUMMARY: Under supervision of the Seacoast Family Care Services Director the Manager oversees the clinical staff. The manager works collaboratively with the Perinatal Safety Nurse and Unit Director in guiding their department's growth, patient satisfaction, physician's relations and fiscal responsibility. The manager supervises and directs the delivery of patient care and care related services for the Family Care Services Unit in accordance to administrative policies, as well as hospital vision, mission and strategies. The manager works collaboratively with staff, physicians, and other disciplines within the hospital to create a system of safe, quality health care.


  • Maintain Clinical knowledge of areas within the department
  • Manage day to day operations involving scheduling, patient rounding and ensure patient satisfaction
  • Assist Perinatal Safety Nurse with competency development
  • Assist Charge Nurses with Admission and Discharge Coordination
  • Interview and hire personnel
  • Assess and evaluate employee work performance; implement learning plans and complete staff yearly evaluations
  • Counsel staff; implement disciplinary process when indicated, including termination with support of unit Director
  • Provide leadership in compliance with regulatory agency standards, national nursing standards and specialty nursing standards
  • Evaluate patient outcomes
  • Assist Family Care Services Director with unit budget
  • Maintain quality audits and monitor daily core measures
  • Monitor supply management

  • 3 to 7 years of RN L&D experience
  • Leadership experience required
  • Direct experience preferred
Licensure and Certifications:

  • New Hampshire State RN license or Valid Compact RN State license
  • BLS
  • NRP

  • BSN preferred
