: Supervisor Nursing Unit POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Required: Graduation from an NLN accredited school of Professional nursing
Preferred: Completion of or actively pursuing a BSN degree EXPERIENCE
Experience Preferred: Experience as a Staff Nurse in an acute care setting KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must be able to demonstrate understanding of HCA's and St. David's "Patients First" safety initiative by strict compliance to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Works autonomously, sets priorities and makes independent decisions of a complex nature. Interfaces directly with public, physicians, staff patients, administration and ancillary/ support department representatives. Written and verbal communication skills adequate for performance of the position. Maintains confidentiality of patients' medical records. Regular and predictable attendance is required. Required: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Texas
Current certification as a BLS course C or D provider
NRP certification within 6 months of hire
Preferred: STABLE certification within 6 months of hire
