Will utilize the nursing process to independently deliver nursing care to patients in order to achieve quality outcomes and communicate need for guidance/supervision based on self-assessment of strengths and limitations. Promotes a positive image of nursing and promotes collegiality among healthcare team members.

C.A.R.E Pool RNs are required to work the following:

Tier IV (Specialty RN): Minimum hours, weekend commitment, and demographic location determined by the group and POD in the HealthONE CARE pool Agreement.

Holiday Requirements: Tier IV (Specialty RN) per Diem: 1 Major or 1 minor holiday, and 1 difficult to staff day annually. Tier IV benefited: 1 Major and 1 minor holiday, and 1 difficult to staff day annually.

Floating:
HealthONE C.A.R.E Pool employees will be required to float to all HealthONE facilities within the chosen pod. C.A.R.E Pool Nurses will be scheduled in units in which they have competencies. C.A.R.E Pool Nurses can be placed in a unit below their competency level with a modified assignment.
Qualifications:
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Tier III RN's are required to have a current Colorado Registered Nurse License, current Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire.
Tier IV RN's are required to have a current Colorado Registered Nurse License, and the following certifications are required at time of hire based on the area of specialty.

Perioperative (OR, PACU): Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required at time of hire.
Procedural areas (Cath lab, Interventional Radiology, GI Lab): Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification required at time of hire.

Education:
Graduate of a certified School of Nursing. BSN strongly preferred.

Experience:
Minimum of at least two years of RN experience for Tier III RN's and a minimum of 2 years of specialty experience for Tier IV RN's.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrates good organizational skills. Provides safe and appropriate patient care within the Values & Standards of Nursing Practice.. Displays appropriate judgment and problem solving skills. Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers.
