The PICU Registered Nurse
Responsible for the planning and implementation of total patient care of the pediatric patient. Assists in coordinating direct/indirect patient care with other departments. Provides clinical services within scope of advanced pediatric practice in collaboration with staff physicians.

The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Women's & Children's Hospital has a real family feel, dedicated staff, great teamwork, and great quality performance. The PICU staff is a strong team on a specialized unit with great staffing ratios and amazing benefits.
12 bed PICU, 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratio depending on patient acuity, RN orientation of 12 weeks (with exposure to Pediatrics also)

Qualifications:
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current State of Louisiana R.N. License.
Education: Completion of A.D. or B.S.N. nursing program at an accredited school
Experience: Pediatric, Critical Care or Emergency Department experience preferred
Special Qualifications: CPR for healthcare provider through AHA upon hire, PALS Certification (within 6 mos. of hire date), ACLS (within 6 mos. of hire date)
