Additional Information about our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU):
  • Types of patients seen include: Orthopedics (total joint and spine), Gastric Bypass, Gynecologic, Pediatrics, and Thoracic Surgery
  • Level II Trauma Center
  • Nurse to patient ratio 2:1
  • 30-40 average patients seen daily
  • Growth opportunities: Cross training, Clinical Ladder Program and Shared Governance Council

Shift:
12 hour shift between the hours of 8A - 11P


On call:
1 night per every 2 weeks and 1 weekend per month
Qualifications:
Education:
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
  • BSN within five years of employment (required) for FT employees
  • Tuition Reimbursement Program ($5,250/calendar year) for FT employees
Licensure:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • BLS, ACLS and PALS
Experience:
  • One year current PACU experience (Required)
