Coliseum Northside is a 103-bed community hospital that specializes in orthopedics, spine care, bariatric surgery and gastric reflux disease. Coliseum Northside Hospital operates a full-service 24-hour emergency room with specialized pediatric care, has inpatient and outpatient surgery options, diagnostic services, and an orthopedic and spine center. Through our Georgia Bariatric Center, we provide the latest in weight loss surgery. We also offer outpatient services for sleep disorders, wound healing, as well as radiology and laboratory services. Our comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation center provides speech, occupational and physical therapy and has transportation services provided at no cost to our patients.
1. The Ortho Spine RN Supports the mission of the hospital to provide highest quality care in a caring atmosphere
2. Provision of nursing care to adult and geriatric patients based upon nursing process
3. Takes a patient assignment as directed to provide safe, effective care
4. Directly supervises LPN and CNA job roles
5. Promotes teamwork with physicians and other departments
6. Communicates in a professional, respectful demeanor to all caregivers in regard to patient condition, changes, and response or results to orders and nursing interventions.
7. Maintains regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies, procedures, and standards
8. Utilizes the standards set forth by the ANA
9. Will organize, modify, evaluate, document, and maintain the Plan of Care for Medical or Surgical patients that include individualized, family centered, holistic, supportive, and safe care
1. Actively seeks ways to control costs without compromising patient safety, quality of care or the services delivered.
2. Attends in-service presentations and completes all mandatory education requirements.
3. Regular, punctual and dependable attendance per policy.

EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:
• High school diploma. Medical terminology required.
• Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing
• BLS - AHA Healthcare Provider required
• Registered Nurse Licensure-State of Georgia, current--required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Saving Certification preferred
• Completion of credentialing requirements for unit specific skills within six months of employment
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED:
• Cardiac monitoring preferred
