Accepts the responsibility and accountability for a designated group of patients. Administers direct
and indirect patient care based on scientific principles and guided by the established policies and
procedures of Fairview Park Hospital. Proficient in specialty areas as appropriate. Population served:
Infant, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric.
Functional Position Summary
Accepts the responsibility and accountability for a designated group of patients with rehabilitation needs related
to but not limited to CVA, orthopedics, and other neurological impairments.

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, current license in GA.
Special Qualifications: Current CPR. Successful completion of medication exam according to policy
guidelines. Verbal ability to present information and ideas related to nursing theory and practice. Willing to
accept responsibility and accountability to prescribe, delegate and coordinate nursing care. Area qualifica-
tions may include: ACLS certification, certification in specialty area, word processing, & computer knowledge.
Employees Supervised: LPN, PCA, Unit Clerk, Nurse Tech
