POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the physicians and the Imaging and ER Director, this position performs nursing support functions for patients brought to the radiology department.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED/PREFERRED):
Required: Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
Required: At least one year of experience in direct patient care, preferably in a Critical Care area, ER.
Preferred: 2 years experience in Critical Care, Special Procedures Radiology Department, or other procedural area administering Conscious Sedation.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Able to work in stressful and acute setting.
2. Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision required.
3. Familiar with human anatomy and physiology
4. Able to interpret and adhere to Conscious Sedation guidelines.
5. Must be able to demonstrate understanding of HCA's and St. David's "Patients First" safety initiative by strict compliance to all safety protocols and procedures.
Required: Current Texas RN licensure; Current BLS; ACLS within one month of employment
