Registered Nurse/Telephone Triage Nurse

(Patient Education Coordinator)

Hours:  9:00am - 6:00pm

Description
The Patient Education Coordinator "Registered Nurse/Telephone Triage Nurse" is an important role in our team. The nurse is passionate and is committed to provide a high level of patient care and counseling patients enrolled in various Patient Support Programs. The ideal candidate has great communication skills, problem solving skills, and an empathetic, patient centered mindset. This person will be driven to help team members to achieve the mission of providing high level of care to patients.  The position that the candidate work Monday-Friday from our office in Cary, NC.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • To counsel and educate new/existing patients on therapy so that patients receive outrageous customer service
  • Follow call guides provided by client while providing counseling to ensure manufacturer requests are being met
  • Discuss potential side effects while remaining compliant within manufacture approved talking points
  • Identify and report adverse events (AEs) and product complaints (PCs) to the manufacturer
  • Contact Physician’s office regarding questions, concerns or problems patients report
  • Ensure patient profile information is correct
  • Complete delivery tickets with attention to detail regarding shipping address to ensure Welcome Kits arrive to appropriate patient and or physician office

Qualifications



Minimum Requirements

3 or more years of experience in nursing preferred



Critical Skills

  • Must have current unrestricted state licensure
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday from our office located in Cary, NC (this is not a remote job)

 

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Attention to detail and committed follow through in communications with patients
  • Empathetic listening skills in order to interact effectively with patients and providers
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and good problem solving abilities
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret practice standards, professional journals, technical procedures and government standards and regulations
  • Willingness to work in a fast paced environment, and have the ability to multi-task and self-prioritize workload



Education

Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing


Certifications/Licensure

Registered Nurse with current unrestricted state licensure
