Under the general supervision of the Director, supervises the managerial and clinical operations of the area of responsibility and provides patient care as appropriate. Collaborates with other supervisors, administrative personnel and therapist for program and professional development. Evaluates, treats, and maintains accurate documentation on patients that range in life span from infant to geriatrics. Adheres to St. David's Medical Center policies and procedures as well as the Standards of Practice and the Code of ethics established for each profession. Assist the Director in providing quality services in a cost effective, efficient manner. While this position has direct responsibility for services and programs within the medical center, integration of services throughout the system is an expectation.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
Required: Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy with a minimum of 5 years experience. A minimum of three years of clinical experience in a physical rehabilitation setting.
Preferred: Masters degree in a rehabilitation science
Computer skills preferred
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES :
Required: Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Current Texas License PT
Preferred: Member of APTA.
