Eaton located in Peachtree City, Georgia is hiring a Reliability Technician on 1st Shift
Position Overview
This role is responsible for performing technical tasks relating to mechanical, optical, thermal, vibration, chemical and electrical assembly and/or testing of Eaton Lighting products, prototypes, and subassemblies utilizing a wide range of laboratory equipment and instruments.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operation of life and reliability test operations utilizing HALT, HASS, vibration, thermal shock, accelerated life testing environmental and UV equipment.
  • Responsible for setting up and performing electrical, mechanical, optical, and thermal tsets, within company safety guidelines, under varied environmental conditions, and in accordance to various testing procedures including ANSI, IES, NIST, Underwriter’s Laboratory, Canadian Standard Association, and NOM.
  • Perform Engineering validation testing on new product, prototype designs, and vendor supplied products.
  • Maintains accurate records and writes reports for these tests establishing test objectives, results, conclusions, observations, and recommendations.
  • Works with engineering and lab personnel including solving proof of concept validation issues, compliance to standards, and assisting in developing research and component validation roadmaps.
  • Maintains test records data base and develops automated test protocols using integrated laboratory equipment and software.
  • Provides guidance and assistance with training as needed at all Eaton lighting locations.
  • Complies with Company practices for patent protection.
  • Special projects as required by management. 


Basic Qualifications  
  • High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
  • No relocation is provided for this position. only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Peachtree City, GA facility will be considered.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a lab environment


Preferred Qualifications

  • Able to troubleshoot and analyze basic electronics
  • Associate’s Degree in Electronics or Computer Science
  • Software skills to include Labview, C, C+ or C Sharp
  • Experience working with test and measurement equipment
  • Trade School Training or Associates Degree from an accredited technical college
