DePuy Synthes Spine is the Spine business offering a comprehensive portfolio of spinal care solutions for the treatment of the most simple to the most complex spine disorders using traditional and minimally invasive techniques.


Synthes Trauma offers a broad portfolio of orthopaedic fracture fixation products, including screws, plates, nails and other implants used to fix broken bones.


Synthes Craniomaxillofacial (CMF) offers a complete array of neuro, craniomaxillofacial, thoracic and soft tissue implants for skeletal and soft tissue repair and reconstruction.


Synthes Power Tools offers a comprehensive range of air, electric, and battery-driven high and low power instrument systems, including drills, reamers and saws.

Repair/evaluate broken and malfunctioning medical instruments for domestic and international customers, process all related documentation. Assists in maintaining appropriate inventory levels of all related repair components. Reports to Supervisor, Instrument Repair. Works independently within established guidelines and FDA compliance regulations. Interfaces with customer service personnel, warehouse personnel and evaluation personnel.

  • Evaluates equipment and instruments used in operating room settings, such as; Norian Mixer, Piezosystem, Battery Chargers and other related products.
  • Test and evaluates a wide range of Torque Limiting Devices and evaluates/repairs a variety of instrumentation.
  • Completes appropriate paperwork/data entry and follows good documentation practices.
  • Assists in maintaining appropriate inventory levels by performing cycle counts in order to meet customer requirements.  Verify and stock items received.
  • Performs other special projects or additional duties as assigned.
  • Know and follow all laws and policies that apply to one's job, and maintain the highest levels of professionalism, ethics and compliance at all times.
  • Diligently participate in our compliance program-related activities as denoted by your supervisor or our Chief Compliance Officer.

• Associate's degree or equivalent required.
• One year equipment repair or related experience required.
• Must have excellent mechanical aptitude to work on complicated equipment.
• Ability to learn word processing, windows, the JDE System, and Microsoft databases including Word, Excel, and Access.
• Good math skills and knowledge of metrics required.
• Use of measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers and multi-meters) is required.
• Work requires walking to other locations within the plant and warehouse.
• Light (5 to 20 pounds) lifting is required on a regular basis and heavy (over 30 pounds) is required occasionally.
• A high degree of concentration and accuracy is required.
• Good eye/hand coordination is necessary.
