Role Summary:

GE Consolidated is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to provide order to remittance support for valve business.

Essential Responsibilities:

In the role of Requisition Engineer you will:

+ Review customer specifications and translate customer specification in to order instructions for manufacturing of relief valves

+ Provide bills of material, drawing information, test specifications and processing instructions for meeting quality and manufacturing requirements of the product

+ Support shop manufacturing for material substitution and disposition of non-conformance reports

+ Liaise with global engineering team for order execution and support on engineering issues

+ Provide technical information to sales for product support

+ Analyze field complaints to distinguish between design deficiencies and application errors

Qualifications/Requirements:

+ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electric Engineering from an accredited college or university

+ Minimum 2 Years of experience in manufacturing, power or process industry which require dealing with process equipment application, maintenance or manufacturing OR completion of a GE Leadership Program

Desired Characteristics:

+ Ability to read manufacturing drawings of mechanical components

+ Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes such as casting, machining, welding, cutting etc.

+ Knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel code

+ Knowledge of SAP ERP system

+ Project engineering / management experience

+ Prior work experience in manufacturing industry

+ Knowledge of AutoCAD / SolidworksKnowledge of AutoCAD / Solidworks
