The Pharmaceutical Candidate Optimization (PCO) department is searching for a highly motivated scientist with specific expertise in translational ADME science. The successful candidate will participate in the design of early clinical plans for assets across multiple therapeutic areas and modalities. The candidate will provide leadership to and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams. The scientist will join a group responsible for human PK and dose projections, PK/PD and PBPK modelling and DDI prediction of candidate drugs in the early clinical development space. Opportunities to work with both small molecule and protein therapeutics. Ability to network with experts in Discovery Biology, Clinical Pharmacology and other groups to share learnings, enhance consistency in best practices and identify and interpret experiments critical for execution of clinical plans. Expectation to provide leadership in the development and refinement of translational ADME workflows; keep up to date with emerging literature and science of translational PK-PD/ADME and to build a personal track record of publications within the field.
The candidate must have a Ph.D. in pharmacokinetics or relevant discipline with 0-5 years of experience or an MS with 3 years. A sound understanding of ADME, PK, and PK-PD principles and demonstrated problem-solving skills are essential to this job. Hands-on PK- or PK-PD modeling experience is a plus. In addition, strong communication skills and ability to work and collaborate in a multi-discipline team setting are a must for this job.
