  • Bachelors of Science degree or higher
  • Ability to meet travel requirements, up to 50%
  • Minimum 10 years combined Research Informatics and Research/Early Discovery consulting experience within Life Sciences industry or related areas (e.g. software provider)
  • Minimum 5 years leadership experience managing teams; Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment
  • Minimum 3 years software product development/management and platforms experience, including strategy and roadmapping
  • Understanding of bioinformatics market / bioinformatics software market
  • Strong understanding of Information Technology and enterprise information management solutions
  • Experience with SaaS and PaaS software delivery models
  • Deep understanding of one or more of the following:  pharmacology, biologics, genomics, cheminformatics, translational science
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Strong client relationship skills
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Desire to work in an information systems environment
  • Excellent leadership and management skills

  • Experience with data management and curation within Research / Early Discovery
  • Experience with scientific software/ knowledge management solutions
  • Knowledge of genomics technologies and its applications in translational research
  • Experience leading an agile software delivery team
  • Strong knowledge of large-scale complex SaaS or Web Services environments
  • Strong IT delivery experience across analysis, design and implementation
  • PMP certification (or equivalent)
  • Understanding of research / laboratory processes and methods
