IBM Research is seeking candidates to work on developing novel quantum devices, experiments, and methods that can be used to improve the properties of individual qubits and develop and test multi-qubit devices.
The work will combine expertise in low temperature test and measurement, microwave engineering, and coherent manipulation of superconducting qubits. The candidate is expected to be creative, and carry out research independently while collaborating closely and effectively with other members of the Quantum Computing group. Proven experience in performing low temperature measurements and coherent manipulation of quantum systems is preferred. Experience with microwave modelling and microfabrication is beneficial. Preferred candidates will also possess ability to think outside the box to drive projects to fabricate and integrate novel devices, with demonstrated attention to detail along with proven troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
Candidates with a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physics or a related field are preferred.
