IBM Research is seeking a Research Staff Member to work with the Theory of Quantum Computation and Information group in Yorktown Heights, NY.
You should have research experience in Quantum Information and Computation. Other responsibilities and work experience include:
-Actively create open source software tools for quantum computing with a team of Developers and Research Staff Members
-Ability to implement software for use by internal Researchers as well as external Researchers using cloud quantum computing platforms
-Experience related to software architecture, developing software in Python, C++, and other languages
-Research to efficiently mapping algorithms into circuits that execute on real hardware; verify and validate multi-qubit systems; define and implement algorithms for evaluating metrics relevant to quantum computer performance
A Ph.D. in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
