Responsible for underwriting all loans and discussing conditions with the department loan originators as well as to review loan scenarios, print and issue approvals and necessary documentation. The candidate should have working knowledge and full understanding of FNMA guidelines and underwriting experience as it pertains to analyzing appraisals and self-employed borrowers. Additional responsibilities include entering data into the client's loan operating system, utilizing an automated underwriting system to determine approval and clearing conditions for final approval and perform complete and in-depth review of mortgage loan files including; income, assets, credit and collateral.
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance and three (3) to five (5) years of related experience in Banking, Finance or Real Estate Originating and Loan Processing and Underwriting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working knowledge, understanding and following of bank lending policies and guidelines.
FNMA guidelines and Underwriting courses in "Analyzing Appraisals" and "Self-employed Borrowers" training preferred.
PC proficient in Microsoft Office and Internet browser applications.
Bilingual language skills (English and Spanish) preferred.
