Position Overview: The candidate is expected to implement new methods for respiratory parameter estimation under the guidance of PRNA researchers. Detailed Position Responsibilities: Understanding of respiratory mechanics estimation Algorithm development Data simulation for algorithm validation Algorithm validation (numerical) Coding in MATLAB Presentation of methods and results Oral and written communication skills including presentation Skills and experience in some of the following areas are required: System identification/parameter estimation Dynamic systems Control theory Matlab Skills and experience in some of the following areas would be a plus: Respiratory mechanics Digital Signaling Processing Detailed Position Requirements: Degree/Experience/Skills needed MS, or doctoral student (ME, EE, BME)
