Our Respiratory Therapy Department
is looking for an outgoing and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
to join our close-knit Respiratory Therapy team for a Full Time Night
(7 PM to 7 AM) position. Will work every other weekend and then one major winter and one major summer holiday per year. RRT will float between working at Johnston- Willis Hospital and Chippenham Medical Center. Two to four years of RRT experience with some critical care experience preferred. NICU/PICU care experience a plus! BLS certification, NBRC credential as RRT and Virginia licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner required. PALS and ACLS certifications preferred. JOB SUMMARY:
Administers floor and critical care therapy modalities. Performs arterial puncture and blood gas analysis and instrument QC. Responds to cardiopulmonary arrests. Maintains and processes equipment. Provides specialized service to the department.Qualifications: EDUCATION
High School Graduate and Graduate Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) EXPERIENCE
One year critical care and NICU/PICU experience required. Knowledge and experience in basic floor care and mechanical ventilation, blood gas analysis, pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy, capnography and oximetry equipment. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Virginia Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner, maintain NBRC credentials for Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Current BLS and NRP. ACLS and PALS Certifications a plus! Perinatal/Pediatric Specialty Exam passed, CPFT preferred.
