Contract to Hire Opportunity - State Agency

Staffmark is recruiting for Customer Service (Call Center) associates for a state agency . This is a part-time position, working 29 hours a week. Successful candidates will possess the following:

- College degree or coursework, preferably with business, public administration or liberal arts degree preferred or relevant experience

- Prior pension, benefit plan, HR, call center or counseling experience, preferred but not required

- Ability to interpret and apply knowledge of benefit products and services related to caller inquiries

- Ability to access, navigate and retrieve information from computer applications/systems

- Ability to counsel customer on plan information, financial planning terminology and perform basic estimate calculations

- Pension Benefit Certifications (INFRE, CEBS, etc.), preferred but not required

- Reading, writing and math proficiency

- Professional verbal and written communication skills

- Capable of performing basic calculations and financial interpretations

- Experience interacting with diverse customer populations using a variety of communication mediums

- Solid job history with tenure in each position

- Ability to work in a team environment and independently

- Ability to adapt to changes

- Positive work attitude

- Highly motivated

- MUST be open to working downtown

**Training hours may be between 35-40 hours a week (first 3 months).
