The Right of Way (ROW) Agent plans and designs the route and infrastructure into customer premise and any backbone upgrades. In addition to the plan and design, the ROW Agent applies for and secures all private and public rights of way, as well as local, county, or state permits including any utilities. Responsible for attending customer site surveys to determine SOW, and lateral routing, as well as any ROW requirements associated to the project. Plans and designs routing of infrastructure for building laterals or backbone. Applies for and secures public and/or private Rights of Way and easements to facilitate building lateral. Applies for and secures County, State, or Local permits to facilitate the infrastructure construction, as well as local utility coordination to facilitate the infrastructure construction. Assists with make-ready or conduit preparation. Routes and performs 3 party pole walks with utilities. Coordinates make-ready payments as needed. Maintains and tracks database for ROW, easements, and permits to expedite infrastructure construction. Updates all required reports, and tracking/order systems as required. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
• Associates Degree preferred.
• 3-5 years experience in Outside Plant Construction required.
• Must be proficient in computer utilization and have good analytical and negotiating skills.
• Prior ROW and/or Real Estate experience strongly preferred.
• Must have valid driver's license.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
