Registered Nurse (RN) Employee Health


Located adjacent to the Texas Medical Center, Park Plaza and Plaza Specialty Hospitals offer the convenience of a community hospital with two distinct purposes. Since 1975, 444 bed Park Plaza Hospital has been offering complete medical services, including surgery as well as outpatient, imaging and rehabilitation. Plaza Specialty Hospital, a 65 bed hospital within a hospital, has been providing long-term acute care to those needing prolonged hospitalization and recovery since 1994.

Park Plaza/Plaza Specialty Hospital is currently looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) Employee Health.
Responsibilities:

Manages the Employee Health compliance functions for both Park Plaza and Plaza Specialty Hospitals.
Including but not limited to post offer physicals, monthly and annual TB and vaccination screenings, and Respiratory Fit testing.
Serves as the primary contact for all work related injuries and on-going case management associated with the injury.
Assists in Special Projects as assigned by HR Director.
The employee proactively works toward and achieves goals set in the previous evaluation period.
Conducts all post offer assessments for staff, contractors, and volunteers including on-site drug testing
Creates and updates policies as appropriate
Conducts education during orientation and at various times throughout the year on wellness, work safety, as well as other vital topics.
Monthly tracking of TB and Fit testing compliance
Works with employees, physicians, and third party agents on work related injuries. Ensures appropriate data tracking, reporting, and billing.
Completes other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
3 years in Occupational Health and/or Infection Control

  • Three years experience in Occupational Health and/or Infection Control
  • CPR, preferred
