The role of the Registered Nurse is to perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director. The Registered Nurse formulates the nursing patient plan of care, provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient and in support of the mission of Doctors Hospital. The Registered Nurse in department 733 provides care for pediatric patients between 2 years to 11 years of age; adolescent patients between 12 to 17 years of age; adult patients between 18 to 64 years; and geriatric patients 65 years and older. Core competencies will be assessed primarily on the following patient population(s) served: Chronic pain management, endoscopic procedures of cardiovascular, GI, pulmonary conditions and diseases, etcQualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with either an ADN or BSN degree.
- Must hold a current RN license from the Georgia Board of Nursing. BLS required upon hire. ACLS required upon hire or within one year.
- No previous experience required other than clinical rotations required as part of the degree completion. Prior experience in a similar size facility with similar services provided is preferred.
