Cy-Fair Hospital works to meet the community's needs with four emergency rooms at the hospital and three offsite, as well as two urgent care facilities offering night and weekend hours.
Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center is currently looking for a RN/Supervisor - Nursing Administration - PRN
The nursing supervisor coordinates, supervises and is accountable for safe professional nursing care of patients by using nursing process within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act and in accordance with professional standards, hospital and unit policies and procedures. The nursing supervisor must act independently to provide crisis management, interpret policy, make timely decisions that directly impact patient care, ensure timely and effective communication and collaboration among departments, and provide operational oversight throughout the nursing departments.
Graduate of approved and accredited nursing program. BSN is preferred.
Minimum Experience: Five years of acute care clinical experience is required. Previous charge or supervisory experience is preferred. Critical care experience is a plus.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Required Certifications: BLS and ACLS are required. PALS, NRP and TNCC are encouraged.
Required Licensure: Registered Nurse, with current Texas License.
Skills: The nursing supervisor must be able to prioritize duties and work well under stressful situations. They have to demonstrate good verbal and written communication and customer service skills with a variety of patients, physicians, and other health care providers internal and external to the organization. The nursing supervisor must demonstrate knowledge of the industry and be able to work with information technology applications.
