RN ER Trauma Coordinator :
The Trauma Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a cost-effective system of care for trauma patients and their families throughout the continuum of care. The Trauma Coordinator works both independently and in collaboration with the trauma medical director and other members of the health care team and the management staff. The Trauma Coordinator is self-directed and self-motivating, plans and conducts work with minimal direction, and reports the progress of work to the director of nursing.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current Utah Registered Nurse License, Compact license allowed; Current BLS - Health Care Provider certification, ACLS and TNCC certifications within 12 months of hire and PALS within 2 years of hire; ENPC is highly recommended.
Education: Graduate of a school of Nursing. BSN is desirable.
Experience: Minimum three years clinical experience in trauma/emergency care. Able to articulate and demonstrate appropriate nursing theory and practice.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrates good organizational skills. Provides safe and appropriate patient care within the Standards of Nursing Practice at Mountain View Hospital. Displays appropriate judgment and problem solving skills. Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers.
