DePuy Synthes Mitek is a leading developer, manufacturer and marketer of innovative medical devices for surgery, with focus on sports medicine and reconstruction and offers comprehensive and innovative solutions for a broad range of surgical needs. Our product portfolio features products for surgical treatment of ACL, meniscus, cartilage injuries, soft tissue and rotator cuff repair.
The SurgicalSales Consultant will sell and manage the Mitek Sports Medicine surgical product lines within an assigned territory.  The Surgical Sales Consultant is required to develop and execute a business plan while maximizing growth within Mitek Sports Medicine’s surgical product platform. This includes working with Surgeons, OR staff, Materials Management, Procurement, and other stakeholders throughout various aspects of the product sales cycle.  Reports to Surgical Area Business Manager.
The successful candidate will Drive sales of Mitek surgical products through hospital outpatient, hospital surgery center, and ambulatory surgery center sites of care.They will conduct Presentation, training, and support of Mitek Sports Medicine surgical products to key customer stakeholders. They will Act as product expert in the area of sports surgery, and other minimally invasive therapies.
They will Provide technical support to customers around surgical (& non-surgical) products & techniques. They will Observe surgery routinely and report on key issues, trends, competitor efforts, or results of alternate methods. They will Work in alignment with sales management to close business effectively. They will Staff conventions, bioskills & cadaveric programs in the area, regionally and nationally as scheduled.
The Consultant is responsible for complying with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to those pertaining to the marketing and sale of medical products to healthcare professionals. Representative must conduct its business in compliance with the company’s healthcare compliance policies.
All consultants Must comply with all of Mitek Sports Medicine’s Quality System Regulations and
must comply with all of J&J’s safety and environmental rules and regulations. Attend all safety and environmental training offered throughout the year.

Qualified candidates must have a A minimum of a Bachelors degree is required.  A minimum of 1-3 years of previous sales experience or previous work experience where leadership skills and ability to work independently required. The ability to work in a lab/operating room environment is required. 2 years+ of previous healthcare sales experience is preferred.  Previous hospital/Operating room experience and/or clinical experience in orthopedic sports medicine is preferred. A successful and consistent track record of delivering results is required.  Strong interpersonal communication, negotiation, influencing, strategic thinking, problem solving and business acumen skills required. A qualified candidate will be efficient, organized, self-motivated, positive and pro-active.  Candidates must possess a valid driver's license issued in the United States and must have a clean driving record. The ability to travel related to this role is required. Candidate must live in or be willing to relocate to the posted territory.
